The original idea for this animation was a phrase I wrote in a notebook: “being turned into soup/becoming soup means not having bones or responsibilities.” Trent took this phrase and came back to me with a full soup monologue. From there I started conceptulizing sentient soup faces and drafting up storyboard for the animation.
